We identified and fixed a bug affecting PDF generation that was causing the “Failed to generate PDF due to invalid HTML / missing image” error.
What was the issue?
A recent code update introduced a regression in our PDF generation error-checking logic. When validating image references in your documents, the system had an off-by-one error that caused valid documents to be incorrectly rejected.
What we did:
Our development team identified the root cause and deployed a fix to all Gigbuilder servers on May 22, 2026. The error checking logic now works correctly.
What you need to do:
Nothing — the fix is automatic. Just try generating PDFs as normal, and they should work without errors.
