I would like to setup a package or add-on to bill a client an hourly rate

To set up a package that bills a client at an hourly rate, you can create a new package in the Package Menu. Here are the steps to follow:

  1. Package Name: Choose a client-friendly name that clearly describes the service.
  2. Service: Select the appropriate service category (e.g., DJ).
  3. Pricing & Duration:
    • Set the Standard Price for the base hourly rate.
    • Choose Rate Type as “Hourly” to ensure the package is billed by the hour.
    • You can also specify an Overtime Rate if applicable.

Make sure to fill out the Package Description with compelling marketing copy to attract clients!

I do not see Rate Type

It looks like you’re trying to create an hourly rate package, but you’re not seeing the “Rate Type” option. According to our documentation, the “Rate Type” field is indeed available in the Pricing & Duration section when creating or editing a package. This field allows you to select from options like Hourly, Half Hour, 15 Mins, and more.
