Venues not popping up

The venue field in the contact forms are not pre populating the venues we have in the system. So every time a client types in a venue, it adds a new one and is a duplicate of others. So we have tons of variables for one venue or the same venue multiple times. Can this be fixed to a drop-down or something, and if the venue isn’t listed, they can type it in then.
